Bunny Hop 1.7.0: Every Hop, Smoother

Bunny, Kangaroo and Dinosaur leap above bright water and crumbling platforms, with a rainbow trailing behind Bunny

We're preparing Bunny Hop 1.7.0, our next major update. Jump into smoother motion, glowing combos and a world full of life, with performance improvements throughout the game.

See the changes below. Each comparison shows the earlier effect on the left and the new effect on the right.

Smoother characters

More life in every leap. All 32 heroes charge, jump and land with smoother, livelier motion.

Dinosaur and Kangaroo charge and jump together: earlier poses on the left, smoother transitions on the right. Charge poses repeat three times and the jump is slowed for a closer look; gameplay timing stays the same.

Rainbow by day, aurora by night

Chain jumps to leave a flowing rainbow trail through the daytime sky. At night, your combo becomes a cyan aurora. The trails follow the curve of each jump and fade naturally behind you.

Earlier rainbow silhouettes beside the new trail. The clip switches from day to night to show both styles.

Deeper blues, gentle ripples

Gentle ripples and a fade into deep blue bring underwater scenes to life. Turn distortion on or off in Settings.

Before: surface waves over a flat blue tint. Now: deeper blues and gently rippling platforms.

Rocks that break apart

Every crumbling rock puts on a show. Watch cracks spread and pieces tumble as you leap to safety.

Before: a cracked platform falls away. Now: branching cracks and tumbling rock fragments.

Better performance throughout the game

We’ve reduced work in effects, scenery, score updates and background tasks. These improvements help keep the game moving smoothly as the action builds.

More reliable hops

  • Better landings at platform edges and clearer Jump Guide paths help you line up your next hop.
  • Controls recover more reliably after a stall.
  • The in-game News story includes these animated comparisons, so you can explore the changes there too.
